Trafford Domestic Abuse Services offer a community based support service to men and women over the age of 18 who live or work in Trafford.
The Domestic Abuse Surgery is a individual, face to face outreach service which provides emotional support
and constructive advice for those who are experiencing or have previously experienced domestic abuse.
The service offers bookable appointments in locations in the community.

Support in understanding the dynamics of domestic abuse
- Referring/signposting to internal and external services
- Pro-active advice
Exploring your options
For everyone, we can be there to listen and provide emotional support throughout a difficult time.
After the first initial appointment, we are able to meet with you in our offices where we have private meeting rooms or at other convenient community venues.
We do not tell people what to do; we will only provide information and discuss the options available to you.
We can support you at point in your journey through Domestic Abuse. If you choose to remain in an abusive relationship, we can offer support around this with safety planning, risk management and helping you to be aware of other options available to you.
If you choose to leave, we can assist by making you aware of options such as civil remedies, refuge accommodation, support groups, police support and children's and young people's support.
If you have left the relationship we can offer support around the impacts that domestic abuse has and can offer support to help aid recovery; working with you to help you take positive steps to move forward with your life.
We are also able to signpost you to other services you may need such as:
Employment rights help
Charities offering financial assistance
Drug, alcohol and health support
It is an appointment based service.
